Thought I heard a *crash*...

Riddle time, ladies and germs...

What goes *squeal* *clang* *whump* *rattle*?

That, my friends, would be the sound of a shiny new SUV ploughing through the metal guardrail on the corner of Sierra and College, about three-hundred feet away from me. Odd, because I heard the brakes squeal and figured it was some speed demon taking that turn too fast, as usual. It wasn't until I heard all the sirens that my subconscious put it all together and I trotted out to the corner in my socks. By then the fire dept. was there and it didn't look like someone was seriously hurt, though I want to go bak soon and get a close up of that twisted guardrail.

Figures. That corner is just plain dangerous, coming halfway down a steep hill off a major street and being that sharp a turn, not to mention this is a college neighborhood and all. But I do feel rather sorry for the people in that house. I think there was maybe three feet between the front bumper of the SUV and their porch. Must've been an awful shock.

Okay, off to bed now, no use worrying over things I have no control over. Suffice to say that if I were religious, I'd be praying right now. But since God and I don't quite see eye to eye, I will merely wait for the time being, though it would be nice to be an optimist right now. Yes, I know I'm being rather vague, but I prefer cynicysm to dissappointment.
