Gimme something good!

Find out what anime character cliche you are.

Raise your hand if you didn't see that one coming.

Went to to dentist this morning. If it seems like I go there a lot, that's because it is. Bad genetic teeth, or something. Anyway, my dentist greets me with the classic tapping of the air bubbles out of the sickly long needle. When I asked him in polite terms to back away, he told me he had to permanently cement my crown. Um, no, I said. He already did that. The last time I was here. So he puts to needle down and starts trying to pry up the crown. Luckily, before I did too much writhing and screaming, the assistant came in. She, too, looks at him and asks what he's doing. Much to my relief, he actually believed her. So, that was like the shortest time I've been to the dentist ever. And I'm sure it'll be funny as soon as my poor abused gums heal up.

Went with veijukka to see Harry Potter yesterday afternoon. Had a scary moment when we first approached the theater, because there were no less than three empty school buses parked out front. As it turned out, all those kids were in the showing before ours, and the one we went to was empty. I think there was maybe one kid total. All in all, I liked the movie. It was longer than it needed to be, and some of it dragged, but then the book had lot more going on than the first one. Lots of stuff was either glossed over or left out completely, but they kept most of the major plot points in. And the climax, with the basalisk, was just plain creepy. I was surprised at that, seeing as how this is a kid's movie, but that's just my generation speaking. The only serious gripe I have is that they completely ignored the cute litte Ginny-crush and instead paired up Harry and Hermione. Other than that, it was very cute and fun. Afterward, we decided on dinner at the Thai place, only I never remember that it's closed on Mondays. So, we went to Tivolis instead. Mmmm. Though the cheesecake almost defeated us. And I have leftovers in the fridge for lunch.
