Of opera, rings, and other things...

It's been a rather busy couple of days.

Sunday, I went with Mom to opera. It was the Nevada Opera's first production of the season, Rigoletto, and it was nothing less than amazing. It was the first time I'd seen it live, and I think it is now one of my favorite operas. The talent they pulled in was just extrordinary, from the New York Opera. Everyone, from the soprano down to the bass that made my skin crawl, was incredible. I usually don't care much for opera, but this one was exeptional.

Monday, I slept in, then got up, wrote a paper or two, then took a nap. I think sleep is like an addiction. The more I get, the more I want. Then, we decided at the last minute to go out to Applebees for dinner. Yummy, it was. If it weren't so expensive, I'd say we go there more often. Then back to our apartment to watch Harry Potter, since my roomate hadn't seen it yet. Ah, the wonders of a DVD player. Now, aminomiko will be seeing a lot more of us, thanks to her generous offer of her DVD collection.

Slept in again this morning, then had a relaxing morning watching

Slept in again this morning, then had a relaxing morning watching <X-Men</i> before heading over to mom's to do laundry and use the computer. And after orchestra, we're all going to get together at <lj user="nurikochan">'s to watch <i>Lord of the Rings</i>. I'll have watched more movies in the last two days than I have in the last month, which is kind of sad in itself. One more reason to look forward to the end of the semester, when I'll only be working full time, instead of also trying to fit classes in there somewhere.
