Lazy Sunday.

Been trying to get as much finished before classes start up again. Been moderately successful. I didn't get as much done today as I wanted as the weather was too tempting to not go for a nice long afternoon walk. A little muddy, but the sun felt nice and I had forgotten how majestic the mountains look when the tops aren't shrouded in clouds. At any rate, I have a nice pot of lentil soup simmering on the stove that's been smelling good all afternoon, the laundry is done for the week, and I've got a good start on the flyer for our March concert.

Side note: anyone know how to really use the path tools in Illustrator? I'm trying to update a really old (think back to rotary phones and 3 digit phone numbers) logo for my cousin's boat shop, and I can't figure our how to isolate the lines I need to remove without deleting the rest of the logo (it scanned in as one giant path that I can't seem to slice up). It's really kind of frustrating because I'm sure it's something stupidly obvious that everybody and their toddler knows, but I'm stumped.

What else? Netflix finally sent Toy Story 3, which was pretty darn entertaining, the A-Team movie, which wasn't but Dad liked the boomy bits, and How to Train Your Dragon which was fun but not particularly memorable. Just heard about the X-Men prequel in the works; not expecting much but I'm hoping to be pleasantly surprised. Spent my Border's gift certificate on CDs (of course!) and got the newest Loreena McKennitt album and an older David Garrett disc (I know, I know, he's terribly crossover and as a connoisseur of classical music I should be outraged, but it's just fun).
