Had to shoot into the sun to get the detail on the glass, so there's a bit of a glare. That smear on the shed door is off my camera during the longish exposure. Checked the ground below the window: no bird - so either it didn't go into shock or one of the cats got it. Given how hard it hit the window, my money's on the cat.
Freaking cold out there right now. No where near the humidity problems of back east, but cold enough that the wool socks came out. Went to dinner with the Italian class to Johnny's. I haven't been in there since before my grandmother died. Nice, but a little too expensive for the "family style" service.
Lately I've been feeling a litte depressed. It isn't a huge mystery why. Nothing to do but trudge through it.
Found out I have no chance in hell of qualifying for a house. I have everything going for me but the second income. I had thought that I had enough of a lump sum saved towards a down payment that I could make up for it but no go. Housing here is just too extortionate even with the slump. Which means that quitting my job and going back to school to finish just is just that much easier to choose.

Ah, hell. If you don't qualify, there's certainly no way I can qualify. How on earth do people buy houses around here?
I was not impressed with Johnny's at all. I thought it was outdated and highly over-priced. I was, however, impressed with the 21-year old Glenlivet on their menu.
