Because I am tired and lazy and in the mood for TV. And because I know Jeni, at least, cares...

Eh, liked Katherine's first song, but she didn't really invest herself in it like she did last week.

And here's Purple!Taylor, and for once all I can think is that really is the worst jacket/housecoat/whatever ever. He still dances like a geeky!white man, though. Ain't nothin' wrong with that...

Wait, she's singing the same song? Isn't that against the rules? At the least, it's boring. She's made it to the finals, she can afford to take some risks now. Personally, I find that breathy quality to her voice less and less desireable. And she spends too much time sitting on the stage. And she needs to pick one necklace. Layering them doesn't work for me.

Why does everyone call it "God-given talent"? If you sucked at singing, would that be called "God-re-posessed-talent"?

Ear monitor? Grow up. It isn't that hard to sing acappella. Is hard to spell, though.

Oh, good. The coat has left the building. Taylor is quite nasal at times, which is why I prefer his upbeat songs to the slow ones. But, then he does blues, which is more tolerable to his vocal style.

Ooh, sounds schmarmy... Yup. She tries too hard to sound sweet, and it comes across as weak. Every time she tries a crescendo, she goes all breathy. Maybe more breath support training? It's a decent song, she just isn't doing anything with it. Phrasing is virtually non-existant. Very questionable intonation is the last part, over the key change, and every shrieky bit. I didn't like it. And that dress, just, no. It makes her shape look dumpy.

Uck, another ballad. Again with the pitch problems. I still like him better than Katherine. Maybe I just expect more from the women.

Prediction: Taylor. I hope.

Uh, I forget the songs, but there's a decent recap article here.

God has reposessed many of my talents. I couldn't make payments. *not sure if that's funny or not*

I turned on right after for House... so which of us is worse for giving in to the normality of popular TV? (Medical drama is so not my thing but Hugh Laurie really is great.)

You interested in hangin' out tonight? Denny's or the park or wherever?

I like House, too. Finally a protagonist who's not utterly shmarmy and saccharine. I would love to hang out tonight, except that I'm leaving tomorrow morning for camping, and I have way too much to do as it is. Maybe next weekend. You can come over and see the freshlys-shaved cat.

Ok! Yeah, do your packing and I'll come see the shaved cat later. Never seen a shaved cat. bet it's pretty funny looking.

Haven't shaved him yet; have an appointment with PetCo for a week from Friday. They're giving him a bath, too, just to make the humiliation complete. I figure why not go for the gold. I'm thinking of asking them to put a nice brink pink bow on him. But then he might eat my face some night, and where would I be then?

No, wait, I'm not anonymous...
...I'm me! Stupid cache occasionally clears all on it's own accord.
