I have found a new level of hell...

...and it is itching. Unbearable itching and even the knowledge that you're going to make it worse by scratching doesn't change the fact that you have to scratch. And then you scratch until you draw blood, because even that feels better than trying sit through the itching. And then you get hives on your face and chest and arms, and hell, even your palms are spotty, and then it's a choice between a Benadryl lobotomy and the itching. And now I get to go back to the doctor, because obviously the new allergy medicine isn't working, and not only is it not working, I'm apparently allergic to it, in addition to everything else. Which is just, grrr. I really hate going through my day all zombie-fied. And I still have one week left of classes, which means that if this stupid stuff isn't out of my system by Monday, I'm screwed.

Oh no!
It may be something in the air this year. Myra keeps getting hives on her ankles and legs, and I had a coworker last week go home in the middle of the day for precisely the kind of itch-induced hell that you're describing. Weird. Regardless, I hope you get something that works, fast! I can't even imagine how obnoxious that is...I had very mild chicken pox and that nearly drove me insane. I think I showered four times a day, and I lived in calamine lotion. This has to be a hundred times worse!

Re: Oh no!
I agree that it may be something in the air. I have never had problems with HIVES before, but I keep getting them on my arms on random days. At first, I thought they were stress related (though I know that stress makes me scratch more) but they have appeared on stress-free days, as well.

gotta be something in the air... the new girl has been having issues with hives (I still only have a vague idea what a hive is...) this past weekend.

Mebbe you have developed an allergy to toner.

Ya never know.
