For all those who do not reside in Reno, I'll let you in on a little secret: It's snowing.

Now, I don't mean a light dusting. I mean snow. Not as much as those poor rich chumps are getting up in Tahoe, but enough to make this storm stand out over the last decade or so.

I am presently trapped stuck at work until the snowplows come through. Assuming they don't do what they did yesterday morning and clear all the snow into a pile directly across the entrance to the parking lot. I don't know why they didn't just close us, because every other business closed early and as it is, so far the entire morning shift (short-staffed as it is due to holiday pay) is currently snowed in and will most likely either be very, very late, or not here at all. Add to this the power keeps going out, and I'm seriously wondering if I'm going to have to burn something to keep warm.

Meanwhile, this is the one time I didn't throw my camera in the car with me, so you'll have to imagine the loverly piles of snow building up outside. I had to throw myself bodily at the back door to get it to open at all, and that was around 11PM. I can only imagine what fun it'll be driving home. Not that I can leave until someone else get here, as J. call me ten minutes before his shift began to tell me he couldn't get here as there was too much snow to ride his bike through. Ten minutes, mind you. At this after everyone has allready left and closed the doors an hour early to begin with.

Heh. Just remembered I have a camera phone. Back soon.

Oh, another holiday J. won't get paid for! Whoohoo!

Is he fired YET?

Bleh. *huggles*

If I could, you know, get down from the hill I'm on to give you a hand I could. But I don't think I can even get my car out at this rate. It's even more insane up here by McQ.

That's okay. There's really not that much due. It's just that I really don't know who's going to show up in the morning as manager J. called to say he's snowed in and he was pretty much the only one working to begin with. C. won't be in unless he can get his car out of the driveway and everyone else's off anyway, including D.

Honestly, If I were you I'd call D. and find out what to do or if you can close up and leave. It's not like anyone's going to be going into the store anyway with the weather like that, and they can't just keep you there forever.

A bit less randomly, are they clearing the roof at all there?

If by clearing the roof you mean clearing ths snow off of the nice flat roof, no. The skylight keeps making noises. Oh, and S. just called to say he was stuck in Tahoe.

...I'd seriously call Darren and tell him he's got no staffing tomorrow. And that he needs to get the roof cleared.
