AT&T's tech support... gets you ten steps into the automated phone tree flowchart and then...MAKES YOU HANG UP AND CALL BACK. Not like a dropped connection, but tells you to hang up and then call back. And when you finally advance to the loss of internet connection path, tells you to go check the solutions guide at.... their website.

And when you finally earn the right to talk to a real person, and wait four days for an actual service tech appointment... it's fixed (loose wires at the connection box three miles away)... for three hours.

But the best part? Having to start entirely over from bloody scratch with the customer service phone tree. And being informed that there's a two day wait for new service appointments by a person whom I can only understand because of my fondness for Bollywood movies and who will NOT deviate from the Flowchart of Useless Actions when I suggest that this is the same problem as THIS MORNING and no, it's not anything on my premises and yes, the modem is turned on.
