I really, really like camping. I think it has a lot to do with going somewhere that has trees, naturally, and where the sun doesn't feel like it's stripping the flesh from your bones. So need to go back to Graeagle again. I love Reno for certain things, but summer in the desert will wear on you...

I found the Princeton Dante project, and I've been spending a few minutes a day on it, slowly plodding through the Italian text. I get some of it, but there's a lot that gets by me through the sheer age of it, not to mention it was written in a lower dialect that tends to spontaneously change the paradigms of the most commonly used irregular verbs. But, even what I do understand impresses me. His ability to work with that kind of rhyme scheme for something that long is rather astounding. And he even manages to score a few none-too-subtle hits on his historical peers.

Spent an hour earlier trying to master the ricochet bowing needed for William Tell. Still haven't figured it out. Any of you string players have any hints?

And now, to bed. Must do comforting familiar family things tomorrow. Oh, and mow the lawn.
